The deprivation from social interaction and emotional communication for whatever reason may lead to negative reactions and emotions. The infant misses the opportunity of well organized and meaningful experiences, which are shaping the world around him/her.
In a safe setting, the special use of sound and music by a supportive therapist, can provide affective contact and emotional security for children with limited capacity of social interaction, and create an environment of full attention, coordination and autonomous intersubjective engagement.

  •  Musical Movement Foundation in collaboration with the Specialized Clinic for Children with Autism, of the Children’s Psychiatric Clinic of the Medical School of the University of Athens, of the Children’s Psychiatric Hospital “Saint Sophia”"participated in the Workshop:"Autism: Contemporary views on Aetiology – Pathogenesis - Therapeutic Intervention" held on 24 and 25 October 2009 in Patra, Greece.
